DarkSeid

The son of King Yuga Khan and Queen Heggra, Prince Uxas(Darksied), second in line to the throne of Apokolips, plotted to seize power over the planet. When his brother, Drax, attempted to claim the fabled Omega Force, Uxas murdered him, and took the power for himself. The power transformed him into a stone-like creature, upon which he took the name Darkseid. At some point in time, he fell in love with an Apokoliptian scientist and sorceress named Suli, with whom he had a son, Kalibak; however, Suli was poisoned by Desaad on Heggra's behalf, who believed that Suli was corrupting her son.

Following Suli's death, Darkseid's heart grew even colder, and he ordered Desaad to poison Heggra, and as soon as he did, Darkseid finally became the supreme ruler of Apokolips.

The destructive war with the rival planet, New Genesis, was stopped only with a diplomatic exchange of the sons of Highfather and Darkseid. Darkseid's second born son was surrendered to Highfather, while Darkseid received Scott Free, who later became the master escape artist Mister Miracle. This eventually turned out to be a setback for Darkseid, with his biological son growing up to value and defend the ideals of New Genesis in opposition to his father. The prophecy foretold that Darkseid would meet his final defeat at the hands of his son in a cataclysmic battle in the fiery Armaghetto of Apokolips.

Labour day

 Labour Day.

Labour Day is a public holiday that is celebrated on the 23 October. It was first issued in 1840. Labour day was just an eight hour working day until 1890 where it was made a public holiday. The right was won by a carpenter named Samuel Parnell. People us to fight for an eight hour working day because it was unfair to work 24 hours for the minimum wage of $7.00.

1890's maritime strikes Lined up along the wharf to prevent cargo being loaded or unloaded, striking water sides picket the Auckland waterfront during the 1890 maritime strike, the country’s first big nationwide industrial dispute. Together with seafarers and miners the harbours was the Australian counterpart who had gone on strike for the right for the unions. The Union Steam Ship Company, employed strike-breakers to load its ships in Australia. It was also the first Labour Day holiday and had several thousand trade union members and supporters attending the parades. it was a big susses. It was the first public holiday of NZ that was not associated with the UK. But then disaster struck as the Union was being taking down. But the Union was slowly reformed under the lead of the Liberal government.

Despite the liberal government's peacemaking efforts not all jobs were able to have the day off. But 1910 was the year the liberal government had made it a labour day for all business (Not including the emergency serves.)And is now on the 4 Monday of October. ☺
